I am searching for any information on James FULTON b. 1794, Loudoun Co.;
married 1st Eliz. MCGEORGE, had 2 children: Mary Morgan and William Henry.
Eliz. McGeorge died, and he married 2nd wife, Mary Ellen NEWMAN b.1811, VA.
George and Mary had 8 known children: George Newman b. 1834 Loudoun Co.,
Robert James b.1836 Muskingham Co, OH, Virginia b. abt. 1838, Elizabeth, b.
abt. 1840, Jane M. b. abt. 1843, Martha, b. abt. 1845, Samantha, b. abt. 1848
and John W. b. 1851.
Although James FULTON and 2nd wife, Mary Ellen NEWMAN, relocated to Ohio
after the birth of their 1st child, I am hoping I can find some connections
in Loudoun Co. for their parents and siblings. Their 1st son, George Newman
FULTON, later returned to the VA area with his wife, Sarah Ellen SCHAEFFER
(SHAFFER, SHAVER) and became a well-known potter. One of his early large
pieces is the 20-gal. crock made for Col. Crow who ran the Old Crow's Tavern.
The crock is now housed at the Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs,
WV.
If you have any information on James FULTON, Mary Ellen NEWMAN, Elizabeth
MCGEORGE or any of their children, please contact me. I am also very
interested in information about my ggrandmother, Sarah Ellen SCHAEFFER. In
particular, I need the parents and siblings of all the above. You may contact
my privately at "". Thank you for your help.
