Boy do I agree with what Chocy said. Not only was it a long and
frustrating job attempting to read through the Loudoun Co. & Alexandria
Personal Property Tax List microfilms (many pages were unreadable) there
was the time involved in waiting for the requested films to be sent from
the LVA. Of course after the microfilms are returned to LVA new family
connections are discovered that I would like to search the tax lists
for. That is why I am thrilled at all the Loudoun Co. VA resource books
offered by authors such as Pat Duncan, Marty Hiatt, Louisa Hutchison,
Elizabeth Frain and so on. If you have ever tried to decipher the
faded, handwritten (often misspelled) names offered in the old documents
you really learn to appreciate the work that has gone into the offered
books. I'm sure that as thorough as I tried to be in reading the
microfilms I missed listings that I needed - so this is another of Pat's
books that I will be anxiously waiting to add to my collection.

All you Loudoun authors please keep 'em coming - you are life savers to
long distance researchers such as myself!
