d. 1804 Loudoun County, VA; lived in Lancaster County, PA; attended New
Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Lovettsville,-- VA from 1784 - ?

ARNOLD -- I'm most interested in are: RUSE, SAUNDERS, DEH/DAY, ARNOLD,
SLATER, SCHOBER, POTTERFIELD and people associated with them.

ATKINS -- ATKINS (Daniel) in Loudoun Co VA; wife named Eleanor: 1762 -
tithables of Aaron Lane (with William Lane and negro Sam). 1768 - Fairfax Co
Order Book 1768-1770,

BAYLY -- Family of Pierce Bayly in the 18th Century: I was told that Diamond
Hill Farm on Braddock Road, south of Gilbert's Corner, was built in 1772.
Pierce Bayly died there in October 1800. Pierce Bayly married Mary Payne.

first wife Fanny Tarpley of Richmond. John Wilson and Elizabeth Travers
Chinn. Lucy Chinn and William Beveridge.

BOWERSMITH -- Levi Jenkins married 2nd or 3rd Mary Ann Hickman Sept 14,
1814 Loudoun Co., Virginia. Matilda Jenkins dau of Levi, married Jacob
Bowersmith July 30, 1815. Loudoun Co., Virginia Levi's father Samuel
Jenkins. Have not been able to find anything on Mary Ann Hickman. Name of
Levi first wife is unknown. Levi is in 1800 & 1810 Loudoun Co., Census

BRADEN -- I am interested in any BRADEN in Loudoun Co. area before about
1880. Specifically the family of Robert Braden & his wife Elizabeth Stevens
who were in the Waterford area. And their parents: Joseph & Sarah WRIGHT
Braden and Thomas Darnell STEVENS and his wife Mary Eleanor.

BRADFIELD -- Bradfield - 1777 - 1800 - given name Zachariah.

BROWN -- I'm researching Mercer/Messer Brown (1740-1802) a Quaker who lived
in Loudoun county from soon after his birth to about 1784) his father was
Richard Brown. Mercer's wife was Sarah (maybe Piggott).

BURGESS -- My line John P. CROSS married Elizabeth BURGESS 3 Sep 1838 or
1833 as I suspect in Loudoun; they're in Prince William County by 1840.

CAMPBELL -- John Campbell c.1880 in Morrow/Marion Counties, Ohio. Born in
Loudoun County, Virginia September 23, 1810, Died December 1, 1887 in North
Canaan, Morrow, Ohio.

wife unknown), children Robert, James and John Costello. Christopher came
to Virginia from England as a domestic servant and met Mary Major an
American Indian maiden of the Mattaponi tribe of King Williams County,
Virginia, whom he took as his wife Known child Agnes, born 1761
reservation. [first appears in 1771 tithables]

Bet. 1747 - 1748, and died June 22, 1819 in AUSTINTOWN, OHIO. He married
EVALINE FOUT / FOUTS Bet. 1769 - 1770 in Probably Loudoun County, Virginia,
daughter of GEORGE FOUT/FOUTT and EVE. She was born in Germany.

FREESTONE -- Jacob Freestone - born between 1745 & 1750. Wife: Martha
Unknown. Children - Daniel, Amos & Deborah

FULTON -- James FULTON, bn. ab. 1794-1797 (date varies based on different
censuses). Married Eliz. MCGEORGE (also shortened to "GEORGE") ab. 1823

GARDNER -- Would you please add Gardner to the list, as Mary Unknown Hall
married Sylvester Gardener after William Hall died in 1750.

GEORGE -- James FULTON, bn. ab. 1794-1797 (date varies based on different
censuses). Married Eliz. MCGEORGE (also shortened to "GEORGE") ab. 1823.

GIBBS -- I am looking for the parents and/or siblings of Nancy E. SORRELL.
Per Bible records, Nancy was b. July 4, 1779 in Orange Co. VA. She d. Sep.
13, 1844, buried Hancock Co., KY. She married John Harris GIBBS, Feb. 2,
1799, probably Loudoun Co., VA although I have not found an official record
of that. John H. GIBBS, was b. 15 Mar 1775, Loudoun Co., VA. He d. 26 Feb.
1847, buried Hancock Co., KY.

GIBSON -- John Gibson b. 1742 & d. 1805 – Upperville, VA (family Quakers
from PA – Moses Gibson). Married Elizabeth Prior/Pryor b. 1771 & d. 1859 –
Loudoun County.

HOUGH or HOFF -- Originally HOFF. Seen in Frederick Co., MD. and came to
Loudoun Co. early 1800's?? Garret HOUGH; son Samuel HOUGH (Loudoun Ranger)
m. Mary/"Polly" (SMALLWOOD) 1813-1893 (my line); their dau, Frances Ameilia
Hough (1838-1902) m. Charles Jacob Towner (1837-1925).

HOUGH or HUFF -- The Hough surname is speculation based on location of James
Templer and Martha Huff of our family to the Hough families of the area.
We believe Martha Huff is really a Hough but have yet to figure out which
family she belongs with.

1847, bur-Unknown; Father of Alvernon Jacobs.

JANNEY -- Francis Hague Janney married Emily Catherine Templer of our family
and down through them comes the Asa Moore Janney and other names of the
area.

JENKINS -- Jacob Jenkins b. 1716 PA & d. 1795 Winchester VA. Married
Elizabeth Rogers b. 1730 PA & d. 1795 Winchester VA. John Jenkins b. 1772
& d. 1852 Loudoun VA. Married Margaret McKnight b. 1776 & d. 1846 Loudoun
VA, daughter William & Margaret Jordon McKnight.

JENKINS -- My family names: Jenkins - moved to Loudoun around 1815.

JENKINS -- Levi Jenkins married 2nd or 3rd Mary Ann Hickman Sept 14, 1814
Loudoun Co., Virginia. Matilda Jenkins dau of Levi, married Jacob
Bowersmith July 30, 1815. Loudoun Co., Virginia Levi's father Samuel
Jenkins.

JENKINS -- William Jenkins (1802-1877). [I have found no connection between
this Jenkins family and the Jenkins family in Loudoun-the great-grandfather
had property in Westmoreland Co PA] He was born in Frederick, MD where he
began training as a Lutheran minister.

JENNERS -- Abiel JENNERS and his wife Deborah YOUNG. Abiel died about 1824
and is buried at Waterford Union Cemetery. Deborah & her children moved to
Indiana around 1828.

JOHN -- William Lewis, Sr., arrived in Loudoun in c1763 left by 1790 (or
died) (May have migrated to Wash. Co., VA where a Wm. Sr. left a will in
1784 Married Mary John, daughter of Thomas John and Martha. He is no longer
in Loudoun after the Rev. War.

JOHN -- Thomas John d. 1760

JONES -- Lindsey M. JONES (1828-1876); James Tasker JONES (1861-1946);
Towner Francis JONES (1898-1964) b. Ryan, VA. (Note: Did not live in
Waterford, but married into families that did.)
