First half of the book, Pg. 38. "Anyway this William Baker, born about 1710,
had by his wife Susanna, a daughter Anne Baker, born November 20, 1737,
baptized by the minister of St. Peters Parish the Rev. David Mossom on
February 18, 1738. She was of the right age and in the right place to have
been the Anne Baker who married in 1761, William Pettit, Jr., he was born
1736, died 1805. They were the parents of James Pettitt (sic) who married on
August 3, 1783 Frances Baker, daughter of our great, great grandparents
William Baker, Sr. and his wife Mary Walton of Cub Creek, Louisa County.
They also were the parents of Samuel Baker Pettitt, who in 1789 married
Temperance Harris Sharp, daughter of William Sharp by his wife Temperance
Baker, daughter of Martin Baker of Hanover, sister of our great, great
grandfather William Baker, Sr. of Cub Creek, Louisa County."

I've checked the indexes for more information on him and there doesn't seem
to be anything except his descendants.

<<Does anyone have a copy of The Baker Family of England and of Central VA
and
their many related families and Kin? I am interested in seeing if the book
identifies the parents of William Pettit Jr. who married Anne Baker b. 1737
in 1761. Or if there is any info on William Pettit's siblings. The reason
for my interest is that the son of Temperance Baker, dau of Martin Baker III,
and William Sharp who was also named William married an Elizabeth Pettit, dau
of a William Pettit. Thank you in advance.>>
