According to _Kegley's Virginia Frontier_, Fort Christanna was built 1714 on
the McHerrin River. There is a town with that name still, in Brunswick
County, south of Lawrenceville. There are numerous references to it in Gay
Neale's _Brunswick County, Virginia 1720-1975_
