Do any of you have access to Grayson County marriage records? I need to
see if Richard Cole married a Sarah Poole before 1807. Calvin Howell
witnessed the will of William Cole in Grayson County in October 1807. John
Howell, Calvin Howell, and Richard Cole entered an indenture in White
County, TN in 1812 for about 160 acres.
I've also encountered evidence of a possible Loudon County VA connection
to my Montgomery/Grayson County Howells:
Timothy Howell who died in 1895 mentions a daughter, Jane Poole in his
will. Anyone have any info on the Poole's? Did they come from Loudon
county?
