Its me again. since I had so much success with my first querie, thought I
try another. Here is why I was looking for info on The Long Way Home.
My real interest at this time is that I was recently told a story by a 92
year old woman from Allegheny who told me that her family bought property
from one of my husbands ancestors(Sublettes), that included and old log
cabin that had been built by the Sublettes. It had been used as an Inn for
many years on Rt 11 and became a store house after they built a new home.
Mrs Correll heard the folks that produced "The Long Way Home" were looking
for a log cabin to use for their drama. Mrs Correll eventually sold them
this cabin and it was disassembled, moved and reassembled at the site. I
would like to find a picture for my genealogy program. If I can't find one,
hopefully I can eventually go and take one of my own. I hoped there would
be pictures on the net somewhere-also interested in adding the history of
the Ingles story to my Sublette history.
Was thinking maybe someone out there has pictures already and would be
willing to share. As noted, I am looking for a picture of the log home being
used in the drama.
Thanks again,
Winnie Minson
