I have a James W. Moten that married Lucy Sowder in 1856 in Montgomery
County, VA

That had twelve to fourteen kids, part of them born in Montgomery County,
Floyd County, and Giles County.

There first two children born before the 1860 census for Montgomery County
were Angeline and Charles T. When James took his family to Mercer County,
West in 1880 (in the 1880 Mercer County Census) they were not with him.

Angeline Morton (Moten) was born about 1857
Charles T. (possibly Thomas) was born about 1859

They either died or married in Montgomery County. Does anyone know anything
about them?

The 1870 Census for Floyd County show their ages different and has Charles
born before Angeline.
