Joseph Whittaker born about 1754 at sea, his parents die at sea coming from
somewhere in England. Some one ?? takes Joseph somewhere ?? in North
Carolina. He is bounded out I suppose for the passage or his keep. Joseph
Whittaker marries Obedience ( Biddie) Perdue. Joseph fights at the Battle of
Point Pleasant. We can trace all Joseph and Obedience's children, we just
cannot find anything out about Joseph and Obedience's parents, and their
early life. Sources indicate the ship sailed up the Roanoke River into North
Carolina. Any help or suggestions really appreciated. Any history or
geography about this situation appreciated. Anything Help, Help PLEASE.
