Hello all,

I recently found the much sought after death date of my gg-grandfather, Samuel E. Lee. He died in 1891 in the First District (Christianburg) of Montgomery County. There was no information in the death register other than his name, age, and date of death. During this time period were death certificates completed and forwarded to Richmond?

Any information appreciated.
