Subject: [VAMONTGO] Early stories of Blacksburg

Hello. I am the grand daughter of W.W. Gray ( Billy ) of Blacksburg, and I
have been very fortunate to have found family on line to help me with my
family history. However, I also subscribe to the Floyd County list, and
here recently, some of the older subscribers have started " remember when "
stories about their area. The stories give such insight to the area, and
humor as well. So many people have responded with stories of their own, and
people have connected via the stories as well. I would love to know about
Blacksburg back in the 30's and 40's. Personal remembrances of people,
places, and things. I know everyone will enjoy, so hopefully we can get
some stories started. I'll be anxiously waiting. Thanks, Kate My
grandfather was a baggage man on the Huckleberry, and my grandmother (
Gracie ) worked at Black Logan Department store.
