Subject: [VAMONTGO] William Terry, Tavernkeeper,1793
Date: Wed, 3 Oct 2001 21:43:29 EDT

According to court documents, on 1 Oct 1793 in Montgomery Co VA Austin Akers
(Acres) dug up a sheep which had "been bury of disease" and sold the flesh to
William Terry, Tavernkeeper, of the town of Christiansburg and county of
Montgomery.

A niece of Austin (Susan Akers) and two granddaughters (Barbara Akers and
Sarah Akers) married into the Terry family. I would like to identify this
William Terry to a family in order to establish a connection between him and
the Akers family other than (possibly) food poisoning!

Best wishes,

Earl B. Akers, Sr.
