Hello:

Could someone look this information up for me in Montg county record or
see if it was listed in the papers? I believe this person is related but
can not find parent information for him. This info came from the
Montgomery county free colors registry book.

Joshua Lawrence
October 6, 1862
He was 29 years old and 5'8". He was a dark mulatto with a scar between
the eyes (nearest to and rather above the left eye) and a scar on the
right thigh. There was satisfactory evidence produced to court that he
was free born (COB October 6, 1862). Joshua was murdered on July 26,
1864 by Vincent Ferguson (COB August 1, 1864; circuit court order book
4, p. 393, September 12, 1864). D.U. 292 - 1850 census.
