Been researching from the parents of my great-great grandfather, Archer R. (Archelaus) Mitchell for the past 12 years. He lived in Kent County from 1820 until his death in 1853. He was born in Virginia, but I can not prove the county. There are a whole passel of Mitchell's mentioned in the St. Peter's Parish Register, including several Archelaus, but I can find no definitive link to my ancestor. For the past year I have been surveying the surrounding counties. Got lots of probabilities but no possibilities.
