DALTON, Willie Vergo, 81, of Belspring, went to be with the Lord Saturday,
March 3, 2001. He was preceded in death by his wife, Goldie Marie Cressell
Dalton. He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II. Surviving are a son and
daughter-in-law, Curtis and Pauline Dalton, Christiansburg; four daughters,
and sons-in-law, Mozel and Ronnie Wade, Pearisburg, Diane and Jackie
Whitlock, Parrott, Gloria and Roger Hamilton, Radford, and Glenda and Larry
Buckner, Belspring; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren also
survive. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday March 6, 2001 at the
Parrott Church of God with Rev. Eddie Dalton, Rev. Wayne Poston and Rev.
Maude Cherry officiating. Interment will follow in Sifford Cemetery. The
family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 5, 2001 at the
DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford. V.F.W. Post Number 776 will conduct
Military Graveside Rites.

KEISTER, Everett Jackson, 67, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, March 3,
2001 at his home. He was born in Blacksburg on February 19, 1934 to the late
Ira Franklin and Mary Virginia Elliott Keister. He is survived by by his
three sons and their mother, Everett J. "Butch" Keister, Ira Keister, Daniel
B. and his wife, Amy Keister, Bobby Keister; five granddaughters, all of
Lake Worth, Fla.; two brothers, Michael Keister, Prices Fork, Alfred
"Buckie" Keister, Lake Worth, Fla.; an uncle and aunt, Emory C. "Raz"
Keister and Ruth Elliott, Prices Fork. The family would like to express a
special thanks to Hospice nurses, Claudia Jones and Debora Hamm. Graveside
services will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2001 at 12 noon in the Roselawn
Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg with Rev. Everett Sheppherd officiating. In
lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Carilion Hospice Services,
707 Randolph St. Suite 251, Radford, Va. 24141. Friends may call Tuesday
anytime after 12 noon and the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.

MANNON, Ola, 89, of Riner, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2001. Arrangements

MOORE, Anna Lee Hawkins, 94, of Blacksburg, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at
Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was born December 13, 1906, in the Glade
Community of Blacksburg to the late Hugh Lawrence and Nannie James Price
Hawkins. She was an educator who taught the lower grades in a two-room
school in Lusters Gate for over a decade. She was a substitute teacher in
the Blacksburg High School for many years and was honored by having The Pow
Wow Yearbook dedicated to her. She was the first teacher in the Montgomery
County GED program and the rate of success of her students earning their
high school diplomas was one of the best in Virginia. She was preceded in
death by her husband, Robert C. Moore; as well as her son, Dr. Robert C.
Moore, Jr.; and also four of her brothers and five of her sisters. She is
survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Noble and Patsy Moore, Blacksburg;
her daughter-in-law, Arline Moore, Columbus, Ga.; brother, Hugh Maurice
Hawkins, New Market, Va.; sister, Barbara Anne Frazier, Richmond; eight
grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and
special cousins. Interment will be private. On Saturday, March 10, 2001, a
memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Herbert Hobbs at 2:30 p.m. in
the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour
prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the
Radio Ministry of the Blacksburg United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 931,
Blacksburg, Va. 24063 or to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by
McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
