My gggrandfather, Stephen Smith Kelton, came to Greene Co., TN about 1832.
He went to Pulaski Co., VA about 1837 (supposedly to settle some affairs),
and later came back to Greene Co. about 1844. My ggrandfather, James R.
Kelton, was born 1830 and I am looking for his mother, Stephen's first
wife. Stephen would have married about 1829 or 1830. Is it possible that
Stephen married his first wife in Pulaski Co.? Any help will be greatly
appreciated.
