G'day Clive,
That was a you beaut summer storm which followed the course of the Brisbane
River - known locally as Storm Alley! (Down from Ipswich, through Brisbane
and out to sea). The interesting part for me was to see another green sky -
that's hail in the offing (small ones the size of golf balls, normal ones
the size of cricket balls).

It's a little difficult being both Australian and English, so I have
decided that I'm English from the time the clocks go back to the time they
advance again - I am therefore now in English mode and am gutted at the
result at the WACA!
