Wilson's Laundry but Wilson Avenue .The locals often say it incorrectly
It always annoyed me Hence I had to comment !!!
Thanks for all the info about Rifle Butt etc It isn't a quaint country
lane now tho' is it . I didn't realise the name still existed We
must be grateful for that I suppose !

Roger,
Rifle Butt Road has not been entirely eliminated. It is now an access
to Brighton Marina. If you drive straight down Wilsons Avenue you can
cross Rodean Road (which was called Rottingdean Road when I was a kid)
and continue into Rifle Butt Road where (under the coast road) you are
faced with an option of turning west towards the sea front, or keeping
straight on, into the Marina. ted
