Similarly, I was forbidden to go near Sheepcote Valley at race meeting time.
It was there that the Gypsies parked up. Talking of gypsies, I had the
surprise of my life when a gypsy friend of mine, his name was Velvet,
wanted me to be the 'Best man' at his daughter's wedding. It was quite
different to what I'd expected, when I agreed.
