I am in such a mess and need your help please???
Does anyone connect to this family??? I need anything possible on them.
So far this is what I have traced my HURT family back to, but I have a
very big problem...I am missing the next generation that would connect

Albert Hurt born 1804 in Virginia to the below James Hurt Sr.
I am missing the family info on James Hurt Sr's. parents/siblings, and
his
children and their families.
I know this sounds weird but please bear with

164-11A35-1816, Prince Edward,Co.Va.
The will of James Hurt, dated 9-16-1816, probated 11-18-1816 and
recorded in Will Book 5, page 133 in Prince Edward,Co. mentioned
no wife as she was probably dead by then. He names 9 children
as follows:
1. James Hurt Jr. who was born in 1766, and died 10-9-1834.
James Hurt Jr. married Polly Womack.

2. Oney Hurt-- Oney married Absalom Rowland Dec.19,1800 in
Prince Edward,Co.Va.

3. Hezekiah Hurt
4. Sally Hurt
5. Polly Hurt
6. Betsy Hurt
7. Edith Hurt
8. Nancy Hurt
9. Tabitha Hurt

Who did the last of James's children marry? Where did they go??

Thanks to another researcher who lives in Virginia, I was
fortunate enough to obtain the copies of the actual
marriage record for Oney Hurt and also the will of James Hurt Sr.

Oney's marriage record:

"To the clerk of Prince Edward County
So theese are to authorise you to grant Absalom Rowland Licience
to marry my Daughter Oney Hurt, and this my note Shall be your
Sufficient warrant for so doing, given under my hand and Seal
this 18th day of December 1800 his

Know all men by theese ---- that we Absalom Rowland and Thomas Rice
are held and fimly bound unto his Excellency Lamar?-----governor of
the commonwealth of Virginia in one hundred and fifty dollars to be
paid to our said governor or his successers, that which payment
will and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs, executors,
and administrator, jointly and severally firmly by theese presence
sealed with our seals and dated this 10th day of December 1800.
The condition of the above obligation is such that whereaz there is
a marriage shortly into did to be solomnised between the above bound
Absalom Rowland and Oney Hurt, spinster daughter of James Hurt, if
there be no Lawful cause to obstruck the same, then the above obligation
to be void or else remain in full and vertue- Absalom Rowland
sealed and delivered and Thomas Rice

mine who settled in Morgan,Co.Tennessee.

Albert Hurt born: May 21,1804 in Virginia
married: May 14,1828 in Roane,Co.Tennessee
Died: May 1860 Wartburg, Morgan,Co.Tennessee

Mother:_________________?
Siblings:_______________?

I think Albert had at least 2 sister's, 1 named Othenia Hurt who married
James MaGuffie in Roane,Co.TN on Jan.4,1824 Bondsman: Albert Hurt,
and 1 named Sarah Hurt who married John Brient?.

Sarah Garrett born: Apr.29,1809 in Tennessee
Died: after 1880 in Morgan,Co.Tennessee

1820-1830 Roane,Co.TN. Both Albert Hurt & Absalom Rowland
are found.

Rowland,Absalom 87 M Pauper Va. How is he related??

A marriage search shows he is married to Oney/Othena Hurt
d/of James Hurt Sr. in Prince Edward,Co.Virginia. This is why I feel
my Albert Hurt belongs to this Hurt line. My trouble is I can't find
the parents/siblings to even begin to proove this!!!
If I sound desperate then thats because I am! Can someone PLEASE help me
with this??? This is my BIGGEST brick wall! Thanks in advance for
anything
at all!!!
