He would have been apprenticed to a master tailor.

There may have been an indenture, or agreement, between his father and the master tailor, or between
himself and said tailor if he was of age.

If so, it may have survived in a courthouse somewhere.

I do have the Isle of Wight Wills and Administrations book, if you could give me his name. May or may not
be there.

Worth a shot, huh?

Seems one of my ancestors was a tailor - early 1720s in Va,
possibly Surry
or Isle of Wight or York Co. Where would he have received training?
Are there records of apprentices for various trades?
