I asked from WHERE these folks came, since there are students of the Cherokees at hand, some for TN, some for NC, and some for OK and the West.

I am related through Thomas Dupree and Susannah (?) daughter Margaret who
married David Stokes about 1765. I have their children and some
grandchildren and my line goes through David's son Josiah Stokes and Mary
Haynes to their son William T. Stokes and Nancy Ford to Elizabeth Haines
Stokes marrying Berry Hensley Robinson. For a long time we thought that
Elizabeth might be Cherokee but now we understand that Berry Hensley might
be part Cherokee. Any help that you can give to untangle this mess is
greatly appreciated. I am more than willing to share what info I have if
everyone understands that a lot has not be substantiated. Thanks Sandie
