Derrell, I'm not sure I can be of much help but the name Thomas Lipscomb and
Sarah MackGehee looked familiar. Did they not have a son William Lipscomb,
b 28 Mar 1731, Unk, d. 13 Mar 1810, unk who married Elizabeth Smith?
From there William and Elizabeth had a son David Lipscomb b 14 May 1758, d.
3 June 1816. David Lipscomb married Katherine Smith and their daughter
Patsy [perhaps Martha "Patsey" Lipscomb, b abt 1803-1805 married Jacob
Kirby. I think I have figured out all of Jacob and Patsy's children, one
of which was Ransom Kirby who married Peggy Garner. Their son Richard
Monroe Kirby married Annie Laura Garner. They were my great grandparents.

I have not attempted to trace ancestors or descendants of the MackGehee's
except through Sarah. And I thank you for giving me her father's name which
I did not have. Incidentally one source I have seen also had Sarah's
surname spelled McGehee as an alternative spelling. Depending on the time
frame I suppose either or both could be correct.

I will be following this line closely and hopefully someone else will
recognize one or more of the names. If I find more information I will send
it to you.
