The Virginia State Society[VSSAR] of the sons of the Americian Revolution
will conduct a grave site dedication for four Revolutionary War Patriots, all
Littons,at the Solomon Litton Hollow cemetery in the Corner Section of
Russell County at 2:00 PM on Saturday 4th August 2001. Meeting at the Oak
Grove Baptist Church at noon and proceeding to the cemetery a short distance
away. Refreshments will be available at the fellowship hall in the church.
Refer to calendar of events on the Rus. Co web site. From Lebanon [west main
street] go north on rte. 82 to rte 640. Go east on rte 640 [
Glade Hollow Road]approx. 5 miles to church and cemetery on right.

Lt.John Richard Litton Sr. 1726-1804 [Kings Mountain Campaign]
Captain,Solomon Caleb Litton Sr. 1751-1843
Pvt. Burton Caleb Litton Sr 1753-1778
Pvt Thomas W.Litton 1760-1840
All served in Washington-Russell Counties Militia's and were original
