Carol:

We must be researching the same set as my Marshalls were in the same
counties. However, my direct line came into Floyd Co KY sometime after 1810
and before 1820. To my knowledge, they were the first Marshalls to come to
Floyd County. My ggggg grandfather was the Thomas Marshall listed in Hattie
Muncy Bale's book regarding Russell and Lee counties in VA. Most of the
other Marshalls in these counties were children of Thomas. There was a Hugh
Marshall but no one has ever been able to connect Hugh to Thomas. It is
said that Hugh was born in Ireland.

I would love to share information!

Regards,
Joyce
