JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Mollie Bishop Haynes, 93, formerly of Kingsport, died
Wednesday (Sept. 27, 2000) at the home of her daughter.

Born in Scott County, Va., she had resided in Kingsport most of her life.
Mrs. Haynes was a homemaker. She was a beloved mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Dietrich Haynes; a son,
Fred Haynes; and a daughter, Tennessee Wheatly.

Surviving are three daughters, Reatha Christian, Jacksonville, Fla., Judy
Henry, Kingsport and Eva Woods, Mount Carmel; three sons, Tom Haynes,
Kingsport, E.G. Haynes, Atlantic Beach, Fla., and David Haynes, Church Hill;
20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home,
downtown Kingsport. Friends may also call at the home of a son, David
Haynes, 243 Smith Hollow Road, Church Hill.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel
with Pastor Gene Hammond officiating.

Interment will be in Holston View Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
