WEBER CITY, Va. — Dora Estelle Darnell, 79, entered into rest on Wednesday
(Oct. 4, 2000) at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation, Weber City, Va.

Mrs. Darnell was born in Scott County, Va. on May 20, 1921 and was the
daughter of the late Frank and Betty Babb Dills.

She attended Midway Baptist Church, lived her entire life in Scott County,
Va., and made her home with Gertrude Dockery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene
Harve Darnell; sisters, Lucille Richmond Dills and Mary Lane; two brothers,
Will Johnson Dills and Charlie Dills.

Survivors include her friend and caretaker, Gertrude Dockery; two sons and
many friends.Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at the
Slant Methodist Church Cemetery, Slant, Va.

The family will meet at the cemetery for the graveside services.

Gate City Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
