Researching John J. Cooper, born 1813 in VA. In 1833 married Mary
(Polly)Henkins in Shenandoah Co., VA. The Shenandoah Co. Personal Property
Tax List for 1831, in James Allen’s district, list 3 Coopers:
George W., Joseph and a Jacob.

There are at least 2 more George Coopers, one was a saddler and the other
one was a shoemaker. Is the George W. Cooper listed in the Tax list one of
these George's? Would like to determine if the George, Joseph or Jacob
listed in the tax list have any ties to John J. Cooper
