Would like to know the location of "Horse Pen Swamp," which was deeded by
Taliaferro Craig to his son John Craig in 1760, and from John Craig to
James Somerville in 1781.

I have found some references to a "Horse Pen Swamp" in Louisa County, in
1742 Road Orders and in a 1742 deed stating it was a branch of "Little
River," and in an 1816 reference. I don't know if it could be the same one
being referred to in the Spotsylvania County references.

Is there an authoritative resource on Spotsylvania County placenames and
watercourse names?
