My 6th great grandparents are James Graves and Sarah unknown. I am trying to find out Sarah's maiden name and her lineage.

James Graves is the son of John Graves died 1772 in Spotsylvania County, Va. and his wife Frances unknown. James Graves was born ca 1722 Spotsylvania County and died and left his will in 1781 in Culpeper County, Va. I descend from their daughter Mary Graves who married Richard Parks, son of John Parks and Margaret True who were also in Culpeper County, Va.

It appears that James Graves and his wife Sarah unknown lived in Brumfield Parish. There are several records for them in Culpeper County but this one is an example:

22 Apr 1757 James Graves and Sarah his wife of Brumfield Parish, Culpeper County to Henry Stringfellow of Saint Mark's Parish... 130 acres... on Mr. Wallis line... corner to Lewis Davis Yancey.

It appears that James Graves and Sarah were neighbors and close to Lewis Davis Yancey and the Stringfellow family.

This leaves me wondering who Sarah is and who her parents are and what exactly the associations might be with these families.

Any info would greatly be appreciated.
