Thanks Joan,

I tried to google and saw a Holladay, Va in southwest Spotsylvania and that was all I could find. Thanks a lot. Many researchers have John Marshall Holladay married to Elizabeth Brocus and others to Ann Elizabeth Lewis. One of his grandsons married into the Lewis line which I believe was part of the younger Zachary Lewis line. I have been trying to see if I can find out more about that too. I have never seen proof for either wife other researchers mention.

Northeast Creek (formerly called East North East River, or E.N.E River/Creek) runs basically parallel to the Northanna River on its (guess what!) northeast side. I too have researched the Holloday's and my guess is that the elder John Holloday's land was roughly between today's Lewiston and Lake Anna State Park. --Joan

I am trying to find the present day location of E NE Creek of the SW part of
Spotsylvania County. My 8th great grandfather is John Marshall Holladay whose
will is dated 1742 in Spotsylvania County. His plantation is named Bellafonte. I
believe this was in St. George's Parish.

Any info concerning this land description would greatly be appreciated.
