Thanks for the info. I really don't know if that is helpful or not. I have not found where my Pemberton's came from before arriving in VA. I do believe mine were in Spotsylvania Co., Pittsylvania Co., Halifax Co., Cumberland Co., Tazewell Co., and Cumberland Co. If you have any more info without going to any trouble I would be interested to try and determine.

My apologies, I have already deleted the original email, but I checked
Ancestry and found Pemberton listed several times in a new source, Directory
of Scots Banished to the American Plantations, 1650-1775. Lisa, if this is
helpful to pursue, let me know.
