Hello all,
Seeking info on the families of Gus Hoops who married Mary E (Mollie)
Harris and Oscar E Hoops who married Cora Lee Harris, all of Tazewell
Co.
Mary Harris b 3 Nov 1874 and Cora Harris b 5 Dec 1880 were the daughters
of Milton Harris and wife Elizabeth Thomas of the Pounding Mill section
of Tazewell Co.
Gus Hoops probably died before 1900, because his wife Mary and his
daughter Fannie Hoops, age 1, were living with Milton and Elizabeth on
the 1900 TC census. Fannie Hoops married R C Scott 8 June 1921 in
Princeton, WVa.
Oscar Hoops and wife Cora are listed on the 1910 TC census - Oscar 22
(prob should be 32), Cora 28, Ernest 10, Elsie 8, and Ona 4.
Any and all help with these families will be appreciated. Will be glad
to share my Harris info with anyone researching these folks. Thanks.
