Hello,

We have recently purchased a house in Newtown, King and Queen Co. and are
researching its past. Unfortunately the paper trail only goes back to the
1840s (the house dates from 1780-1820) but from that the following owners
were found:

1845 - Samuel S. Gresham(who also had a store in Newtown)

1860 - Margaret B. Harrison

1868 - Samuel S. Gresham

1875 - bankruptcy - bought by Shanks then sold to C. H. Martin

Early 1900s - from Martin heirs to J. Latine Rouzie

1941 - John O. Turpin

We have met members of the Turpin family and have obtained some information
there.

Would be interested in hearing from anyone knowing anything about the above
families.
