Will do a bit more this evening. One thing, Bloomfield is in Essex
County, Vermont up where the Nulhegan River meets the Connecticut River.

October 20, 1945 - John French of Bloomfield has died. He was born in
1764 the son of Nathaniel and Elixabeth (Frost) French. He came to the
town from Brattleboro, Vermont and married Patience Warner, daughter of
Martin Warner. She was a granddaughter of Captain Eleazer Warner who
served in the French and Indian War. He leaves 4 children, Patience,
John, Susanna and Martin.

November 25, 1847 - died in Bloomfield, Raymond Fuller, age 70. He was
born in 1777, married Mary Wright and died November 25, 1947. It is
thought that he came to the town with his brother, Ayres Fuller about
1800. He was the father of 10 children, Mary, Daniel, Henry, Caleb,
Hiram, Sarah, Asaph P., Raymond, Jr., Willard (only 9 listed).

June 20, 1849 - Died in Bloomfield on the 11th, Dolly, wife of Josiah
Smith, aged 74, 1 month, 15 days. (Lancaster Democrat)

1849 - The Baldwin Brothers, Elisha and William erected a mill on the
Nulhegan River in South Bloomfield. They were in their early 30's when
they built the mill and were the grandsons of Jabez Baldwin who built
the Baldwin Homestead in North Stratford, NH in 1843. In 1859 they sold
the mill Woodman and Richards and after one year they passed into the
possession of Enoch and Alfred Perkins.

1854 - On November 10, 1854 Samuel N. Silver was appointed postmaster of
Bloomfield.

September 9, 1855 Rolliin Alger Baldwin, the son of Elisha Alger Baldwin
and Eliza (Beach) Baldwin, was born. He later became a skilled
mechanician, inventor and manufacturer. He invented the electric switch
for electric railways. He later moved away to Manchester and then to
New Haven, Connecticut.

1859 - Nestor Willis Baldwin was born in Bloomfield to Elizha Alger
Baldwin and Eliza (Beach Baldwin.

1851 Haines Shoff died November 25, 1851. He was born in Franconia, NH
in 1780 and for many years lived in Brunswick. He married April 30,
1804 Lois Webster. Among their children was Orlando who settled in
Bloomfield in 1825.
