FAIR HAVEN, VT.

The Herald is on sale at Hughes' news store. Arthur Rogers will deliver
it to those who wish it left at their homes.

The Fair Haven graded school closed Friday for the summer vacation at 2
o'clock. Graduating exercises from the 8th grade to the high school were
held in school hall when28 pupils were going diplomas.The high school
commencement exercises were held at 8 o'clock in the Powell opera house
and were very largely attended. Theaville's orchestra furnished music.
The following graduates received diplomas :
Roy D.Wood, Gladys Hughes, Hazel Leonard, Ernest Rood, Harriet J.
Vaughn, Bessie Merriam, Sarah Streeter, Maud Whitcomb, Emma Whitcomb,
Ruth Hollister, Mary Carmody, Elsie Hughes and Elizabeth Davis. At the
close of the graduating exercises a dance was given and was attended by
a large number. Bosworth's orchestra furnished music.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred S.Sheldon of Cheyenne, Wyo.,are guests of Mrs.
Sheldon's mother, Mrs. W. W. Nourse of West street.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Warren and son of Philadelphia, Pa., are guests of Mr.
and Mrs. A. Vail Allen of West street.

Fred Dowd of North Granville, N. Y., is visiting friends in town.

Miss Aida P. Skeels of Rutland is visiting friends in town.

Robert Norton of North Main street went to Richmond Friday for a visit
of several weeks duration.

Miss Lena Hughes, who has been teaching school at West Pawlet, returned
Thursday at her home at this place for the summer vacation.

Miss Grace LaCome, who has been employed at Miss Nichols" millinery
store for several months, returned to her home at Poultney Thursday.

Miss Maud Miller of Middlebury is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. George H. V.
Allen of West Park place.
