I have written to St Norberts Catholic Church in Hardwick and they have no record of Alice Miles and Mitchell Shatney's marriage which would have been around 1880's.
If anyone goes to the VT. Archives in Midlesex could they look up Alice Miles and let me know if they find it?
The name Shatney is spelled other ways and sometimes I have seen Mitchell as Michael. Michael's parentage comes from CHATEAUNEUF- DERANLEAU as well as LaClair and Cote on the mother's side.
I would appreciate the help of knowing Alice's parentage because it is said she came from the Abenaki at some poiint.
