Okay, I found it in VG, Vermont Genealogy 5.3 (July 2000). It is a list
of probate notices in Middlebury Newspapers, Part Three, 1848-1859,
extracted by Lawrence Washington. Page 137 has items from 1857. 25
Nov. is Aaron Holden, Leicester.

Many of the early probate records for Addison County are lost, probably
in a fire. You could contact them to see if they have any records on
this person. Their mailing address is 7 Mahady Court, Middlebury, VT
05753 802-388-2612.
