Hi Ellie:

Just a idea: Is it possible that Mr. Armstrong has by mistake assumed that
Pierre Viet and Amer Via were the same man. From the message you passed
along to us, it looks like Pierre came to America in 1700.

Our Amer Via was here a good bit before 1700 as the St Peter's Parish records
indicate. Also some people in the group seem to feel that he lived in
Williamsburg prior to moving to the New Kent Co. area.

It would appear to me that Mr. Armstrong may have just made an assumption
that these two were the same man. Unless there is a record somewhere
that lists a Pierre Amore Via/Vias/Viet. I've never seen it though. Has
anyone else in the group?
