CHARLOTESVILLE DAILEY PROGRESS

ALLEN E. VIA

DYKE, -- Allen Edward Via, 63 died in a Charlottesville hospital
yesterday. Born July 10, 1902 in Albemarle Countly, he was the son of the
late Will and Addie Sandridge Via. He was a retired sawmille operator.

He is survived by his wife, Beulah Herring Via of Dyke; one son, Joe Via
of dyke; two daughters, Mrs. Daisy Pritchett of Burnley and Mrs. Ruby
Sipes of Mt. Fair, three brothers Floyd Via of Barboursville, Willie K.
Via of Harrison and Marvin Via of Hershey, Pa; one sister Mrs. Virignia
Garrison and 14 grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Shady Grove
Church Mission Home. Burial will be in the family cemetery.

Date of death is April 1, 1965.
