STAUNTON ---Mrs. Virginia Clark Via, 73, widow of George Franklin Via Sr., of 2406 Park Hill Road, died Tuesday evening (May 3, 1994) in King's Daughters' Hospital.

She was born on Jan. 17, 1921, in Botetourt County, a daughter of the late Harry Mark and Mary Magdeline Bradds Clark.

Her husband preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1984.

Survivors include a son George F. "Jack" Via Jr., of Ft. Myers, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Bobby (Barbara Jane) Campbell of Staunton and Mrs. Jerry (Peggy) Crone of Ft. Myers. Fla.; a brother, Raymond Clark of York, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Helen Clark Snead of Staunton; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers, William Clark, Harry Lee Clark, Albert E. Clark and Glenn Clark.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Thornrose Cemetery by Pastor Paul B. Knopp and Bobby Allen Campbell.

The family will receive friends at the residence of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Campbell, 2406 Park Hill Road.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Virginia/Northwest Area, 39 S. Gate Court Suite 102, Harrisonburg, Va. 22801; or to the Memorial Trust Fund of the Staunton Augusta Rescue Squad, 1601 N. Coalter St., Staunton, Va. 24401.

Arrangements are being handled by Henry Funeral Home.
