Hi there

In Orange County VA or right out side of Gordonsville was a town called
Indian Town. A relative of mine, Dr. John Gordon was Post Master there after the
Federal troops took over.It is my understanding that the town was sometimes
called Monica, after the Monacan tribe in the area.

The Monacan tribe have revamped and are now near Amherst VA Indians hid for
almost four hundred years. There were many tribes in the area in the
1600-1700.

Have you checked the Indian Rolls or the Cherokee?

The Chief of the Rappahanock has a list. I emailed her, and she emailed me
right back.the State of Virginia cleaned house about three times. They did not
want Indians.Some hid out.

Recently eight Virginia Tribes have re congregated and applied for state and
Federal recognition.

In my research I do not believe that I ran into a mention of a Chiacoan
Tribe.But many tribes were destroyed.
