Hillsville is located in Carroll County Virginia, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwestrn Virginia. Fourteen miles from the North Carolina line. The nearest towns are Galax, Fancy Gap and Cana, Virginia, Mount Airy, North Carolina.
There were and are a number of Edwards in the area.
