Hello - this isn't my line, but I was at the NARA looking for a George Grove/s Rev pension and found a Thomas Groves of VA. I copied it because someone else was looking for a Thomas - anyway - Thomas' wife was Mildred WILLIAMS he enlisted in Fauquier County, VA. They were married in Fauquier County, VA either late 1780- beginning 1781, by Parson James Craig. I don't know if this will help you in your WILLIAMS quest...

I think she died in Preble County, Ohio, where she is filling out this document for his pension. She is 80 in, I think it says 1838. I know there are other docs from 1838.
He died in Fauquier County, VA the Saturday before Easter Sunday, 1822
6 children who were over 16 at the time of his death
= Sarah Groves m. Charles Arasmith
Lucina? Groves m. James Arasmith (Amasmith)- I would say, at least James was in Ohio with Mildred, he signed the 1847 document
Thomas Groves - whom no one has heard from in 10 years.

contact me if you would like a copy - I only have one and don't mind giving it away, :)

Julie
