I'll make a guess. McAfee came on my husband's computer (bought last
fall). He has AOL installed as well. He upgraded the McAfee program back
at Christmas time and AOL immediately stopped working. Calls to both AOL
and McAfee did not solve the problem. As soon as he uninstalled McAfee AOL
started working again. If there is a .dll conflict we could not find it..

AOL may have a file of others having similar problems.

Ed uninstalled McAfee and installed Norton and all has been OK since.

Norton's latest update is dated 3/13. I check there every couple of weeks
to see if there is a new one.
