Carol,

I would be very interested in this information. My grandmother was a
Fredenburgh from Alexandria, Minnesota that went back through Willem
Isaacszen Vredenburg and Apollonia Barents Kool.

I have enjoyed "meeting" various people who are distant relations through the
Fosters, Wheats, Branns, McCoys and Bairds families over the internet as I
pursue my search for family history.

Nothing to do with Fredenburghs but interesting none the less, I was in a
used bookstore in Denver recently and picked up a book on Scots deported from
Scotland to Canada, USA and Trinidad from about 1660 - 1750. I found it
interesting how many were deported during the clearing of the highlands for
being Jacobites. They became indentured servants in the colonies, especially
Virginia and the Carolinas.
