The VLIET line is Huge in New Jersey Back to the 1640's. Check the
Hunterdon, Morris county Roots Web sites and search the name. In some cases
they dropped the Dutch, "VAN"

I have in my line Clarissa SHOTWELL, 22 Feb 1787 b NJ and died in Ohio
married to David Vliet and William Vliet married to Nancy SHOTWELL 13 Jul
1785 , Long Bridge, Allamuchy, New Jersey Lived in Sussex

This SHOTWELL line are descendants of JAMES Webster SHOTWELL / ELSIE Coriell
SMALLEY; they go to the Winthrop Fleet through THORN(E), FEAKE AND ELIZABETH
FONES WINTHROP FEAKE HALLETT.. SHE IS THE "WINTHROP WOMAN" BY ANYA SEATON.
