I can not understand why anyone would want to make more then 1 file out of
all the genealogy data that they collect.

By having all of the names in 1 file I have linked my second cousins with
my 14th great grandparents. This could never have been done if I had all
of my information in small files.

Also I can print out with PAF all ancestors and descents of any person
that I want.

I have 42,000 names in PAF and I cannot get 42,000 names into a single
Family Tree Maker file.

Also the way that PAF shows you who has descendants and who has ancestors
is far superior then the tabs of names that Family Tree Maker uses.

For me the only thing that Family Tree Maker is good for is to view the
CD's sold by Family Tree Maker.
