CASTLETON CORNERS, Vt.


Carlos Barber died at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. George Hawkins, Monday morning. Mr. Barber was born in Castleton,
Vt., November 21, 1842 and spent all his life in the vicinity. He was a
member of the Congregational church of Castleton. He is survived by his
wife, Mrs. Eveline M. Barber of Springfield, Mass., three daughters,
Mrs. J.J. Carroll of Springfield, Mass., Mrs. J. C. Tyler of Albany,
N.Y., and Mrs. George Hawkins of this place. The funeral will be held
this afternoon at 2:30 at the home of his daughter. Burial will be in
the Hillside cemetery at Castleton.
