Barb:
You are not alone. I have a line of Vans that has also been dropped here
from outer space.
I feel like I will never be able to link up to everyone. I also have three
other lines I am tracing right
now who also landed on spaceships. Hang in there.

I agree with Terri Rene. After years of collecting tidbits of Van info,
it's been great to begin to see some of the tidbits form into family units!
It pleases me greatly to see that, but for some reason, nothing is
forming into a family unit for me! Greedy? You bet. I think my Vans came
on a UFO. Nothing I've collected and nothing that has been posted matches
the profile that I have of John Vanasdal/Vanausdal, b in 1823. Lots of
Johns, but none born in that year. Census says he was born in PA., but in
that year, it could have been another state such as VA.
Wherever, he lived for at least 30 or 40 years in Licking Co., OH and then
was in Vigo Co., IN for the 1900 census. I can't even find where he died!
I've accounted for his sons, Corridine (Cozine in one census) and John
Isaac (my direct ancestor), but his daughters Caroline, Lucinda, and Emily,
left no trail other than the censuses. Their birthdates were 1853, 1855,
and 1861. If I could find them, maybe I could find more info...maybe. Any
help GREATLY appreciated!!
